I've been rather disappointed to note that deviantArt are using javascript to redirect users to other webpages as well as to track our movements on the web and record the sites we visit. I find it a somewhat underhand and questionable practice. I do realise that they're seeking to maintain commercial viability and many users, like myself, have a free account. However, they already have it in their terms and conditions, I believe, that they can use photos, art, etc, submitted by users, in pretty much any way they choose so I had hoped that would be enough for them.

What do you think about the terms and conditions of the site? And, what are your feelings regarding the use of javascript or other means to spy on people's movements?
